Summer Lovin

It may not be summer yet but it sure felt like it yesterday.  It was in the 90's...so hot.  We've had a really rainy March and April so it's a nice change.  Nothing says summer more than a Maxi dress...yesterday was a perfect day for it.  I enjoyed the warm weather brunching and catching up with old friends at Burlingame.  Then dinner and drinks with the family at SJ Eats.  They had a line of Gourmet Food Trucks which was fun and so good.

Spring Break

For the first time in a long time, I actually took a "Break" during Spring Break last week.  I took the whole week off to visit family in the East Coast.  Although we only went to Washington DC and Philadelphia, it felt like a world wind tour.   We check in and check out 4 times in different hotels all in 1 week.   It was hectic but it was fun.   It's always fun vacationing with Family.   I can't wait for the next one.   I've been to DC a few times but this was my first time in Philly.  Philly was great...I loved the food, the architecture, the history and the NO sales tax on clothes :)  I brought with me my new favorite spring coat from J Crew, The Matinee Trench in modern red.  I wore this everywhere.   You would be able to spot me from a mile away with this coat on.  It's so bright.  I love pairing it with another pop color like this bright green check.

New Hobby and Booties

It's been a crazy past couple of weeks that I've had to neglect my blog.   I transferred to a different group at work and started a brand new hobby so its been consuming all of my free time.  But I am still here and I'll do my best to post regularly again.  I came across this old photo from a couple of weeks ago and realized I haven't blogged about it.  I've been obsessed with Madewell, lately.   I am dying to get there new citron jeans and leopard print heels but they are both on back order.  But I got these booties recently and I love it.  I've been looking for the perfect casual ankle boot and this is it.  I love the Madewell girl look.  The messy hair...cute dress...dark eyeglasses...booties.  She's cool.

2nd Chances

I am running out of places to take photos in my house so hear I am in my kitchen.  I must admit, it's a little strange for me.  

After a lot of thought, I gave this dress a 2nd chance and was happy with the result. I initially bought this dress in a small and ended up returning it right away since the fit and color was a little weird.  I regretted it ever since since I liked the whole idea of the dress but it just didn't work or the first time.  When I saw it again in this color and in the xsmall, I was sold.  No regrets.  It was on 3rd mark down too :)

Our new guitar arrived today.  I've always wanted to play musical instrument but never got a chance.  This is my second chance.  As they say, it's never to late.  It looks a little complicated...wish me luck.

Today's ABC challenge theme is T for Tomboy or menswear inspired.  This is my glammed up version of Tomboy chic...with gold shoes and a shiny bid necklace.

Today was another exciting ABC style challenge for me.  S is for Sheer.  I got to top from Zara during my day after Christmas sale shopping spree but haven't got a chance to wear it until now.  Finally...a good excuse to wear it.  I forgot to take a photo of the back.  It's the best part.  I will next time.

Today's ABC Style Challenge theme is R for Romantic Reds and Pinks.  The suggestion is to wear the current trend of pink and red together.  I was really excited about this one because I've always wanted to do this but I quickly found out this morning that it was not going to happen.  It requires a lot more prep time for me to get it right.  Since I didn't have the time this morning, I took the safe route and opted for red and white.  I will have to brave wearing red with pink on a later date.

Quick and Easy

I am participating in yet another challenge...this one is called the ABC's of Style Challenge hosted by Kayla from Fashion's Greatest Hits.   I didn't wear this today but I'm posting it anyway since I didn't have time to take a photo of my outfit today and this one fits the theme.  Today's theme is "Q for is Quickie"....simple, easy, no-brainer outfit.   A quick outfit for me is always a dress with a jacket...you don't have to worry about having your top match with your pants or skirt.  A dress is always good to go.  I love this challenge actually since it helps me figure out what to wear the next day.  Tomorrow's theme is R for Romantic.  I see a red or pink outfit in my future.  I will do my best to keep up with the daily post.
